Alzheimer's Disease |
Question for Dr. Stall
My mother-in-law is suffering from this disease. We sure would like to have some help with her illness. Our other concern is the toll it's taking on my father-in-law. He's
not in very good health himself. And he shows signs of depression. Would you send me some information on this disease. Thank You.

Response from Dr. Stall
A good reference book is The 36-Hour Day by Mace and Rabins (Johns Hopkins University
Press). It is a paperback that costs approximate $10. You should find it useful.
I also have a "Caregiver's Handbook" available from my Web page at: http://wings.buffalo.edu/~drstall/hndbk0.html
You should also try to find the closest Alzheimer's Association for help. They can offer written information and point you in the right direction regarding appropriate help & support.
Their national Web site is at:
http://www.alz.org/
Hope that helps.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rob Stall
